Dodd Group are today celebrating the award of a new partnering contract with Solihull Council.
The new contract replaces an existing Borough wide partnering contract between the Council and the Dodd Group, which has been operating successfully for the last 7 years, and provides an important opportunity for the two organisations to collaborate on the delivery of a range of mechanical and electrical services in conjunction with and/or on behalf of other local authorities and public sector organisations at a regional and national level. The estimated value of the works to be carried out through the contract is expected to rise to £10m per annum over the next three years.
John Kavanagh, Dodd Group’s recently appointed Group Managing Director was thrilled by the contract award stating… “This is potentially one of the most exciting contracts that has been let in recent years and we are delighted to be a part of it. With up to a potential of ten years worth of work it will help Dodd Group to retain its strong regional presence in the West Midlands and continue to employ and develop skills in the local area.”
Matthew Lewis, the Managing Director of Dodd Group’s property care division who will have operational responsibility for the new partnership added… “During the course of our existing contract everyone involved from both Dodd Group and Solihull Council has made a significant investment of time and effort to ensure that the goals of our Partnering Charter have been met. This commitment has not only come from the management teams but equally as importantly from those fulfilling operational roles. We believe that what has been achieved is a best in class approach to service delivery and we look forward to continuing this good work both with Solihull Council and with the new clients that are joining the partnership.“
Councillor Ken Meeson, Leader of Solihull Council, said: “We are really pleased to be able to continue the successful relationship that the Council and Dodd Group have built up over the last 7 years. Dodd Group has proved to be an extremely professional and customer focussed organisation, that has embraced the true spirit of partnering and is a signatory of the Council’s Charter for Business Social Responsibility.”
